At the November 2008 conference, TRACE n-n versus WIDE n-n was discussed and IARU agreed that Region 1 should adopt the new n-N paradigm.
The UK and other countries should switch to traceable WIDE n-n digis. Users should update their unproto to APRS,WIDE3-3 [Home] and WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2 [Mobile].
UI-View users should check uiview32.ini and confirm it has UITRACE=WIDE and UIFLOOD=TRACE (the opposite of the installed default). The alias section (ALIAS=) should include WIDE1-1 and WIDE1.

If you don’t have packet gear but do have a PC and soundcard, download the freeware AGW Packet Engine for a 1200 baud packet modem, then configure UI-View to talk to AGW.
